Pair of Lounge Chairs by Ilmari Tapiovaara

Designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for the second annual Selettiva di Cantu, the annual exhibition of the Esposizione Permanente Mobili Cantu, 1957. Solid teak with natural leather strapping support loose cushions. Tapiovaara’s designs for a living room placed second in the design competition, no first prize was awarded. These chairs were produced by Paolo Arnaboldi, Cantu. Beautifully restored with original, reconditioned leather and new upholstery.
