Paolo Venini Appliques

Large Bronze Glass appliques, (one irridized,) by Paolo Venini for Venini. The quality and detail of the glass is exceptional as found in 1940’s and 50’s, Venini glass. All brass metal parts have retained untouched original patina. The three, selling as a set, have a slight manufacturing quirk, in that while all three measure exactly the same one is made in three sections and the other two are made in two sections. This is typical of what one finds in1940’s and 1950’s italian manufacturing. In one of the accompanying images they are shown in the original vestibule, in which they were installed in the ’50’s in Milan.

The glass is molded in the Corteccia (bark) style. Once illuminated by flourescent tubes with an in the wall ballast, they can be easily installed as such again. We had the original elements restored. Presently they are operative, with a 120/277V LED Tube. This allows you to install them without using a remote ballast.

These appliques are difficult to photograph, and it is best to see them in person or using numerous photos to see exactly how they appear in person
