Wood Applique with Seguso Glass Shades

Carved, Gilded Wooden Appliques by Pier Luigi Colli, mounted by Seguso Corroso Glass shades. The shades are swirled and have gold inclusions. The corroso process was an acid based finish that corroded the glass giving it an uneven surface which refracted light. The process is no longer used due to it’s toxicity.
