Pinton, father of the Padua Goldsmith School, participated in the Milan Triennale and Munich Fair in the 1950’s. Along with the Pomodoro’s and Martinazzi, in 1961, he was invited to show his work at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He began teaching in 1945 starting a school in Padua for Jewelry making. He mentored a new generation of modern Jewelry designers, becoming an international celebrity for his elegant, innovative and refined creations.

The Marco Vase presented at ththe Venice Biennale in 1962, won the prestigious prize the “Compasso d’Oro” Award in 1962,

Initially it is formed in a wooden mold, then subsequently it is squashed by hand to give it its unique profile. Sergio Asti’s method of combining industrial mold formed glass followed by traditional hand work resulted in new concepts and forms in the making of Murano Glass.

The vase is cased glass witth a cream colored exterior and a white interior.
